Brownies, May 17, 1999, in New York, NY
We played with Spaceheads, William Parker, and Fly Ashtray in a benefit for WFMU.
TimeOut New York came through for us once again, describing The Lothars as "utterly soul-destroyingly annoying." We liked that one so much, we had WFMU DJ Stork introduce us on stage that way.
It was a weird gig. We thought we played OK, but the audience was strangely non-receptive. Other than a WFMU DJ or two thanking us, we didn't get any feedback. Typical New York crowd, I guess.
