The Lothars – Auld Lang Syne
By Hamish Brown
HHHH [4/5 Stars]
Briefly enjoying the status of a bona fide orchestral instrument during Lenin's reign before being consigned to the scrapheap of musical history, the theremin is truly the playtpus of the orchestra. Resuscitated recently due to a resurgence in all things progressive, bands such as The Lothars have taken analog-love to its logical conclusion, with a line up consisting of four theremins and one guitar. Like spending Hogmanay with the Clangers.
